Took the wind out of our sails

Happy Memorial Day. Our weekend started off very bad. Saturday morning after letting some ducks out of the coop, I walked over the the mailbox to pick-up the newspaper and what do I find but broken glass. Upon further checking out by Les and myself we find that someone has thrown a 20 pound boulder thur our back window of my mini van. Boy, I felt so hurt, angry, violated I just started to cry. So, on to calling the state police and waiting over one hour for them to show up (he got lost, that really makes us feel comfortable) then calling the insurance company and then finding a glass place. We have the car at The Glass Doctor in Hellertown. They had garage space so the car in all locked up till Tuesday afternoon, which is when it is suppose to be finished. We are sure we will never know who did this, as it happen sometime after 11:00 p.m. Friday night. So....needless to say I have not gotten much done, still upset, but getting better. Oh, I might add who ever did this did no want anything as the van was unlocked and nothing was taken. Also, our van for the antiques business was sitting right next to it, untouched and it had some antiques in it. They just did, because it was the trooper told us. Have a good afternoon.

  1. I think the trooper said, "they did it just because"... whatever, I never thought the insanity of Middlesex County NJ would follow me to Pennsylvania in only 21 years.
    Now where... the Yukon?

  2. Vandalism is sickening, frustrating, enraging, depressing, but I refuse to let it force me into a fortress mentality. You avoid it when you can, punish the perpetrators if and when they're caught, but still try to live life without letting paranoia overcome you. Otherwise you become a slave to the vandals' behavior. Life ain't fair sometimes. You just flow with the punches and try to find humor where you can. Try to envision the kid now with a torn rotator cuff in agony from hurling a 20 pound boulder through your window. Now he can't even guard the back of his head from the dope slaps his buddies are giving him.

  4. Oh Ginny - how awful! I feel sick for you right along with you. Those kinds of things are just so needless. Lets hope one of the other kids talks and then someone else talks and before you know it they are found out.

Momma duck is sitting on her eggs still! I tell her very nicely every day to please please hatch those eggs so we can do our driveway but she just gives me a blank stare! LOL
