It is with a sad heart that I tell you my friends that Ginnysyard has lost another duck. She was 13 plus years old and my healthy one. Her sister stayed with her all day and is very lost without her this evening. We have lived here for 25 years and have had ducks and geese from day one. This does not get any easier :'(. I fear my last girl won't be with me very long. Sorry for the sad post but I knew you guys would understand.
Ginny, I am so sorry to hear of your loss...How very sad. Is it your feeling the sister (which is left behind) will die of a broken heart? We sure love our animals don't we?...Hugs, Julie.
I am so sorry for the loss of your duck. I love my little birds so much, it breaks my heart to think of losing them. I hope the remaining lame duck has a another friend? I know how lonely ducks can become.

ReplyDeleteYes I believe she will they have been together since birth. She is also lame and can't get around much. Her sister got her up and moving. :-(
