Full Harvest Moon

Tonight, Septemeber 12th is the Full Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon is always the full Moon closet to the autumnal equinox. If the Harvest Moon occurs in October, the September full Moon is usually called the Corn Moon. Seeing as the autumnal equinox is on the 23rd of September, I believe this will be our Harvest Moon. Hope it will be clear where you are so that your can check it out. I know I will be if the clouds will go away!

  1. Ginny, I love a full moon, I'll be watching for it this evening. Have you noticed how soon darkness comes? I am ready for Fall, but would enjoy daylight to last a bit longer. Sending greetings from Maine, Julie.

  2. I sat out watching the moon last evening on my deck, put Neil Young's "Harvest Moon" song on the outdoor speakers, had a nice glass of a good white wine and just enjoyed that moment.
